Radio is a wonderful medium which offers unlimited possibilities for you to express yourself. Every day hundreds of students record and broadcast radio about everything between heaven and earth at radio stations all across Sweden.
At our member stations you can learn the technical side of radio broadcasting. You can become and expert in mixing tables, sound editing, interview techniques and speaking on the radio. Our member stations are broadcasting on the FM-band as well as on the internet, and have tens of thousands of listeners around the country. When you get involved in student radio you also become a member in an association filled with creative joy, creativity, dedication and community.
Student radio means opportunities to create fantastic projects such as live-radio, reportage trips, interviews, journalism, news coverage and a lot more. Student radio is free, brave and innovative. And above all: it's extremly fun to make student radio!

Get involved on a national level
There are a lot of ways to get involved nationallly in Studentradion i Sverige.
The board
Do you think youth, students and radio activities are important? Do you have ideas about how SRS could be developed or do you have experience of board work? Do you want to lead Studentradion i Sverige into the future?
A new board is elected every year to move the organization forward. The board consists of a chairman, vice chairman, treasurer and four or six members.
Nomination committee
Do you like to recruit and find the right person for the right position? Do you want to be involved in the decision about who gets to decide in SRS?
The nomination committee's task is to find suitable candidates who can lead the organization forward.
Committees
The board is organized into work committees. The committees consist of board members and student radio members from all over the country. The committees are working on different projects and matters that the general meeting has decided on. This may, for example, be about developing policies or strategies for the organization.

Auditor
Do you like association formalities, by-laws and protocols?
The auditor's task is to review the work done by the board and to make sure that the board works according to the organization's governing documents and the general meeting's decisions.
The Board, nomination committee and auditor are elected every year at either the spring or autumn general meeting.
