THE DOCUMENTARY CLUB

The Documentary Club

Do you have thoughts and ideas about what you want the documentary club to be, or any questions? Do you want to be part of running the documentary club? Get in touch! How the documentary club unravels depends on the members' wishes and needs.
In 2022, SRS wants to build on the interest in documentaries among our members through the initiative DOKUMENTÄRKLUBBEN - together across station boundaries, we learn more about the documentary craft and meet the industry, as well as get to know each other. To be equally accessible to all of us around the country, Dokumentärklubben will be digital.

Events

A National Documentary Show

In the autumn of 2021 we initiated a national editorial group for radio documentaries!

The editorial group is perfect for you who love to tell stories, interview people and dig for facts. During the semester, you get the opportunity to develop an idea into a finished short documentary. You can work alone, or with others.

We provide feedback on each other's work during the semester. We also get professional feedback from a documentary maker from Sveriges Radio. The editors are also planning for this spring's festival for radio documentaries in short format where our finished documentaries will be broadcasted.

Our editorial meetings take place digitally, so that we can collaborate all over the country. All student radio members are welcome to participate. You do not need to have any previous experience of having worked on a documentary. To be able to give feedback on each other's work, you need to understand Swedish. Otherwise, it is possible to mix Swedish and English.

Coordinator for the editorial staff is Minna Karlsson. In 2019 and 2020 her short documentaries were nominated for Short Dox Radio at the Tempo documentary festival. She has also studied screenwriting at Biskops Arnö.

All light on the radio documentary!

In the autumn of 2022, the documentary editorial group's radio documentaries will reach your ears. We can not yet reveal how, but be so sure that you have a whole bouquet of interesting stories waiting for you on the other side of the summer.
